The 39th Annual Meeting of the European Economic Association (EEA) and the 76th European Meeting of the Econometric Society (ESEM), which gathered over 1,200 participants, took place between August 26th to 30th at the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Juan Pedro Ronconi presented his paper titled “Nudges, Managerial Planning, and Small Firm Performance: Evidence from Online Commerce,” which examines the planning process in entrepreneurship. Specifically, it focuses on behavioral frictions—difficulties and challenges faced by entrepreneurs due to their planning behaviors.
“We are gradually gaining a better understanding of the various barriers that businesses encounter as they strive to grow. This conference was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from around the world on these issues,” said the academic.
The EEA-ESEM conference is recognized as one of the largest gatherings in the academic world of economics, bringing together international experts to discuss various research topics such as economic inequality, intergenerational mobility, and financial market behavior, among others.
